Spare a thought for NSW farmers

Throughout May, Allworths has been touching base with many of our country NSW clients. Mark Copsey and David Costigan hit the road together, travelling as far south as Hay at the beginning of the month. A couple of weeks later, they travelled as far north as Moree. Everywhere they visited, they were greeted with the warm country hospitality of our farming clients.

Unfortunately, following an excellent year in 2017, severe drought conditions have now forced a major turnaround in fortunes and are causing major angst for many of our farming clients. From what we have seen, it is very dry all over the state and pasture conditions are extremely poor. We are told fodder is also in short supply and so some major decisions are to be made on whether to hold on to livestock. We can only hope good falls of rain are received very soon over the whole state.
